Oil man, developer and philanthropist N.H. Martin built this spacious Prairie style home in 1919. After the discovery of oil on the family ranch in nearby Jolly, Texas, Martin and partner, W. B. Hamilton, went on to build the Country Club Estates and donate the land on which Hardin Junior College (now Midwestern State University) was built. The home features 10-foot ceilings, narrow-board oak floors, a hand-carved mantelpiece, gumwood paneling, detailed moldings and four distinctively appointed bedrooms. Rooms 4. Reserve early.
